What is the difference between MTTD (Mean Time To Detect) and MTTF (Mean Time To Failure)?
MTTD: time from an incident occurring to when your monitoring/alerting detects it — shorter means better observability. MTTF: average operational time before a system fails — higher means more reliable hardware/software. Both complement MTTR in the full reliability picture.
